Intern, Research & Data Analytics (Fall 2026)

Summary:
- The U.S. Travel Association is seeking a Research & Data Analytics Intern to support the collection, analysis, and reporting of key travel industry metrics. This role offers hands-on experience working with real-world data and contributing to industry strategy and policy.
Responsibilities:
- Compile data on travel industry performance, including air travel, hotel metrics, international visitation, consumer sentiment and related indicators.
- Assist in analyzing survey data, including reviewing for inconsistencies and validating responses.
- Assist in creating and support analysis of event evaluation surveys.
- Support research on travel trends, including America 250-related activities and impacts.
- Develop presentations and briefing materials by effectively communication research results internal and external audiences.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Economics, Data Analytics, Public Policy, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (experience with data visualization tools is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
- Interest in travel, tourism, advocacy and/or economic trends.

- Position based in Washington, DC. U.S. Travel staff work in the office Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
- An hourly wage of $20.00.
